10 Easy Steps to Lose Weight

Obesity may affect you in many ways other than your looks, such as your self esteem, your lifestyle, physical abilities, health risks and even depression. Though weight loss may seem to be an endless struggle , it can be easily attained through willingness and determination. A few easy steps can make a drastic change. All you need to do is change your routine , forget about your looks and concentrate on your new regime.

 

1.  Change your diet:

A weight loss program doesn’t mean that you have to crash diet. You just have to limit your diet to healthy foods. Stop eating junk food like pizzas and burgers. Keep away from fats but don’t starve yourself. Make whole grain products a must have along with vegetable and fruits.

2.  Exercise:

Start an exercise routine and follow it religiously. Don’t overdo yourself. Start with simple stretching exercises. Try these for a few days and after you feel your muscles a bit toned move on higher levels. It is always helpful to consult a physician , so that you don’t choose a regime that might be harmful for your body.

3. Walk:

Walking  is the best way to keep yourself healthy and strong. Walk as much as possible. Make it a part of your daily routine. Fit it in. walking is one the best sources of loosing those extra calories. If you have the time go take a walk in the park , inhale and exhale slowly with each step. Walking not only tones up your legs but refreshes all your system.

4.  Drink plenty of water:

Make drinking plenty of water most important in your to do list. It is recommended that you drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Apart from this some experts belive that drink as much water as you can as it helps to flush out all the toxic substances from your body.

5.  Healthy breakfast and light supper:

Breakfast is very important and should not be skipped at any cost. Having cereals and milk or juice is good to start the day. Add fruits to your breakfast too. Oatmeal is also a better option than cornflakes. It has proven to show better results. It is advisable to take a light supper. Soups and boiled vegetables with whole grain bread is one of stomach filling healthy dishes.

6.  Avoid junk foods:

Avoid fatty junk foods at all cost. Furthermore try to avoid eating outside at all. Also change your habit of munching up chips n popcorns while watching television or working o your computer. Instead try grabbing an apple instead of chips. And try vegetable salads if your helpless to eat outside.

7.  Burn those fats fast:

Try to increase the frequency of your meals, while making a habit of eating smaller portions at a time. This helps in increasing the body’s metabolism rate and thus the calories get burned faster.

8.  Magical lemons:

Lemons are believed to play a part in weight loss. It has been used as a weapon against obesity  in ancient times. Make a routine of waking up early in the morning  and before taking breakfast squeeze a lemon in a glass of warm water and drink it. If it feels too sour add honey to it. No sugar. Honey adds the sweetness without calories.

9.  Lose weight weekly:

Try to lose weight gradually.  The more gradual you go the more perminant it  is. Try to lose around 1 ½  pounds a week. It is advisable to remain healthy and not over doing yourself.

10. measuring your weight:

Finally, measuring your abs with the inch tape or standing on the weighing machine every morning won’t do you any good. Take your measurements fortnightly.

Set a simple routine for yourself. Don’t schedule anything that is out of your reach. Exercising 5 days a week is good it make room for two days rest. Brisk walk would also bring a big difference in your body. So try to add that to your daily regime. The most important thing is to take it slowly and patiently. You will be happy with the results.
